- In 2010, we rocked the MX world with the release of our revolutionary YZ450F.

- The first ever production bike built around fuel injection. We moved the intake system up front, and slanted the cylinder rearward, which resulted in the most compact centre of mass ever found in a four-stroke. Instant throttle response, unprecedented balance and superior handling were by-products. The Bilateral Beam frame introduced revised geometry moving the fuel tank lower and back, while transferring more impacts to an all-new suspension and gave more feedback to the rider. And it's back for 2011 in all it's awesome glory..

Key Features:

Engine
= "Reversed" liquid-cooled, 450cc, DOHC, 4-valve, 4-stroke, single with fuel injection and titanium valves. The engine has been tuned for excellent "drivability and controllability" one of the keys to fast lap times. The engine delivers a broad power curve with a great over-rev capacity.
= Unique engine design features a rearward slanting cylinder that is "reversed" compared to traditional designs. The FI throttle body and air box are front mounted while the exhaust exits from the rear of the cylinder. This design is used to centralize mass for excellent handling and a light feel. The other major benefit is the straight shot intake system which maximizes power output. The engine is slanted 7.5 degrees rearward.
= The "reversed" design allows for a straight intake path into the cylinder, providing maximum intake flow and efficiency for excellent power. The front positioned intake means that engine heat will have less "heating effect" on the incoming fuel charge (cooler fuel helps increase power).
= Centrally located spark plug and the 4-valve head promotes a "tumbling effect" of the inbound fuel / air for better combustion, improved throttle response and power output.
= Compact, 4-valve cylinder head design, features a 12.5:1 compression ratio. The intake valves are 36mm in diameter and the exhaust valves are 30mm.
= Lightweight titanium valves (intake & exhaust) and load-reduced oval valve springs reduce reciprocating mass for less friction, faster-revving and smoother-hitting power delivery across the rev range.
= Automatic cam chain tensioner reduces maintenance and cam chain "sliders" reduce internal frictional losses.
= High performance, light weight hollow intake and exhaust camshafts.
= The lightweight aluminium cylinder features a ceramic composite coating which is applied directly to the aluminium, eliminating the need for a heavy iron sleeve or liner. The ceramic coating insures faster, more uniform heat dissipation, reduced friction and a longer service life.
= The cylinder is "offset" relative to the crankshaft to reduce frictional losses between the piston and the cylinder wall during the power stroke. This offset design is a first on a Yamaha motocross machine.
= Crankcase design utilizes an integrated oil tank inside the cases to supply oil to the dry sump lubrication system. This design concentrates mass lower in the frame for optimum handling and lighter weight feeling. There are no exterior oil lines with this design and the internal oil tank is designed to promote air - oil separation.
= Special cylinder design features cutaways that allow the air "trapped" under the piston to enter a side chamber (or cutaway) to reduce horsepower-robbing "pumping losses."
= The crankcase also utilizes cutaways to reduce "pumping losses". The crankcase cutaways match the cutaways in the cylinder for maximum efficiency.
= Lightweight , short-skirt, forged piston provides excellent reliability, less mechanical vibration and reduced weight.
= Piston oil cooler utilizes a pinpoint nozzle that directs oil to the desired portion of the cylinder and underside of the piston, which reduces piston, cylinder and rod temperatures for great durability.
= Oil volume in the engine has been optimized to reduce weight and oil drag related power losses.
= Lightweight gear driven balancer shaft reduces vibration for improved rider comfort and less rider fatigue.
= The crankcase features a tri-axis layout for the crank, main and drive axles. This tri-axis design keeps the crankcase more compact while also centralizing mass for excellent handling. All of the shafts are positioned low in the cases to maintain a low centre of gravity.
= 5-speed transmission features "involute splines" on the transmission axles to ensure smooth shifting and instant hook-up under power. The multi-plate wet clutch features a revised clutch lever actuating arm (engine side) to reduce excess free play as the clutch heats up during a moto.
= 5-speed transmission optimizes engine performance. This 5-speed transmission provides great performance and makes the YZ450F very versatile for MX, Hare Scrambles, Super Moto, Ice Racing and Enduro type applications.
= Quick-access, lightweight magnesium outer clutch cover for fast, easy clutch maintenance.
= Keihin 44mm throttle body fuel injection system is a battery-less design for reduced weight and is designed specifically for MX applications. The 12-hole injector maximizes fuel atomization for more complete combustion and great power output. The benefits of fuel injection include constant ongoing adjustments to insure the optimum fuel - air ratio regardless of outside air temperature and altitude. Other benefits include improved starting and improved throttle response. The system is equipped a throttle position sensor (TPS), plus a range of sensors (engine temp, outside air temp and air pressure etc.). There is also a cold start and fast idle knob which doubles as an idle adjuster too.
= The injector spray pattern, spray direction and the distance to the intake valves have been optimized, while the specially designed straight intake tract helps to maximize the benefits of the FI system and overall power output.
= Optional, compact, hand held "YZ Power Tuner" allows tailoring of both fuel injection settings and ignition mapping. Nine (9) different setting points can be accessed for both the FI and ignition maps. Maps can be stored and shared with other Power Tuners if desired. The days of removing a carb to make jetting changes are gone.
= Compact, lightweight in-tank electric fuel pump
= Larger capacity ACM (alternating current magneto) is used to eliminate the need for a battery.
= Automatic decompression system ensures easy starts in any gear with no manual lever to fuss with.
= Air box (located behind the steering head) features a straight shot intake boot and a washable, dual-stage, foam air filter.
= "Tornado" design exhaust system exits from the "rear" of the cylinder. The spiral winding of the header pipe provides the correct "tuned" length and takes full advantage of the exhaust "pulse" effect to maximize cylinder filling. There is a "resonator" (or power chamber) built into the header pipe. Another benefit of this exhaust system is mass centralization
= Re-packable lightweight aluminium / stainless steel muffler has been designed to optimize the performance of the engine. Muffler disassembly is easy since the silencer bolts together with allen screws.
= Compact, lightweight, single core, dual radiators provide outstanding cooling efficiency.
= High powered ECU controls the ignition and fuel injection processes. There is also a "G" sensor system that will shut down the fuel injection system if the bike lies on its side for more than 10 seconds. There is no special procedure to re-start the bike … just kick it and go.
= Works-style race-spec "barrel adjuster" for on-the-fly clutch adjustability.
= Easy access oil filter.

Chassis
= Compact "bilateral beam" aluminium frame centralizes mass for exceptional handling. This 450cc class specifically designed frame consists of a "High Solid Die Cast" head pipe, hydro formed main rails plus various forged and extruded components. This frame is compact and offers significantly improved "rider - machine communication" (a.k.a. feedback). The engineers have optimized the balance between strength, rigidity and flex. The key goal of the chassis is faster and easier cornering … one of the keys to winning races. The engineers started with a clean sheet of paper and designed the chassis based on the requirements of a 450cc motocrosser. Note: the YZ450F frame is unique, it is not the same as the YZ250F frame.
= The rigidity balance of the frame has been optimized and features high lateral and torsional rigidity with "tuned flex" in the longitudinal direction. The result is a feeling of lightness, agility and traction.
= Lightweight, tapered, aluminium swingarm is produced using "hydro forming", a special method that uses high pressure liquid to form shapes. The shock is positioned in-line with the central axis of the bike. The swingarm pivot shaft is now 17mm.
= Lightweight removable rear sub frame is constructed of square-section, lightweight aluminium pipe. The detachable design allows easy access when servicing rear suspension components.
= Cast aluminium upper and forged aluminium lower triple clamps. Fork off set is 22mm.
= Adjustaable handlebars offer a total of 4 different handlebar positions available (thanks partly to the offset design of the aluminium handlebar clamps) with an adjustment range of 30mm, to suit a wide variety of riders.
= Pro Taper bars provide excellent strength and durability. Foam handlebar pad is included.
= 48mm, adjustable, inverted, Kayaba cartridge forks with 310mm (12.2") of wheel travel. These forks feature a twin-chamber design which means the damper unit is in a separate structure which prevents aerated fork oil from entering the inner damper assembly and reducing its damping abilities. Since the inner damper is pressurized, it also eliminates bubbles forming in the oil. Front fork adjustments include: 20-way compression damping and 20-way rebound damping. Optional fork springs are available through Genuine Yamaha parts.
= The balance between the inner and outer tubes is optimized, while the Kashima coating on the pressure tank and the piston rod reduce friction for smoother suspension performance. The cylinder diameter is 24mm for excellent primary cushioning.
= The 48mm inverted KYB fork also features a Transfer Control Valve (TCV). The TCV enhances the damping force from mid to full stroke and improves bottoming characteristics. The benefit of TCV is more precise control throughout the full suspension stroke. The TCV is located on the upside of the spring and its function is controlled by piston speed, not piston position … hence the term "Speed Sensitive fork".
= "Kashima coating" has been applied to the fork tubes to reduce friction for smoother suspension performance.
= Large "wrap-around" plastic fork protectors provide excellent lower fork tube protection. The "self-supporting" design reduces friction for smoother fork operation.
= Monocross link rear suspension system features a fully adjustable Kayaba, piggyback shock which provides 315mm (12.4") of wheel travel and features separate adjusters for high- and low-speed compression damping. The shock is now in-line with the center axis of the bike for excellent control. Adjustments include: spring preload, 30-way rebound damping, 20-way low-speed compression damping and 2 turns of high speed compression damping.
= The shock uses an 18mm diameter piston rod. Kashima coating is used in the shock body and sub tank to reduce friction and improve suspension performance during a long moto. The Kayaba shock utilizes a full rebound oil lock system for excellent suspension function and great ride quality. The shock spring location is 30mm lower than last year, reducing the centre of gravity.
= 250mm floating front wave-style disc reduces weight, improves cooling and adds style too. The disc is squeezed by a Nissin twin piston caliper fitted with lightweight aluminium pistons.
= "Shorty style" adjustable front brake lever can be adjusted to fit various hand sizes.
= Adjustable clutch lever can be adjusted to fit various hand sizes.
= 245mm rear disc brake features a "wave-type" disc. The rear disc is squeezed by a single Nissin piston caliper.
= Lightweight, compact, integrated Nissin rear master cylinder (fluid reservoir is integrated into the top of the master cylinder) provides strong stopping power with excellent feel and control.
= The rear caliper and the lower portion of the wave disc are protected by heavy duty plastic protectors.
= Compact body work includes front number plate, front fender, rad shrouds, fuel tank, side panels and rear fender which enhance the lightweight feel and look of the YZ450F. This "minimal design" bodywork is a flat design, allowing for fast, easy rider movements. The ergonomics provide a natural and roomy riding position. The body has been designed to maintain it good looks throughout the life of the machine.
= Revised. lightweight, plastic resin 6.2 litre fuel tank is located mostly under the seat, once again reducing the centre of gravity and centralizes mass for exceptional handling performance.
= Lightweight Sun Star rear sprocket.
= Lightweight, 21" front and 19" rear Excel rims provide exceptional durability and help reduce unsprung weight for optimal suspension performance and handling.
= Large 25mm rear axle and a hub design which features a second bearing on the sprocket side for increased rigidity.

Details
= Polypropylene engine and water pump guards reduce weight.
= Lightweight, extra wide foot pegs provide excellent grip and ground clearance.
= Folding shift lever tip helps prevent damage.
= Stainless steel, inner clutch cable provides excellent strength and long life.
= Lightweight chain guide / support helps reduce chance of chain derailment. Also helps protect rear sprocket damage too.
= Heavy duty rubber swingarm protector
= Heavy duty DID 520 drive chain
= Convenient oil level sight glass

Stripped down and ready to rumble.

Think of the 2011 FZ1 as an upright Yamaha R1 ready to take on the world. There's more fuel-injected power in that smooth 20-valve four cylinder than most riders will ever use, in a sure footed chassis. It's a rider's best ally, from track days, to commuting, to touring.

Crunch the numbers, do the math and then take a seat aboard the world's best "naked" sport bike.

Surprisingly comfortable eh? You are looking at one of the best values in Yamaha's 2011 line-up. The FZ1 offers exceptional open class performance with cutting style. R1 inspired power, fuel injection, twin spar aluminum frame and fully adjustable suspension. The FZ1 is a serious sport bike that offers an exceptionally comfortable and exciting riding experience.

2011 Yamaha FZ1 model Features
= Fuel Consumption * 15kpl/42mpg(Imp)
= 3rd generation fuel injected R1 powerplant
= Serious sports focus with comfortable ergonomics

ENGINE
Ultra-lightweight 998cc, DOHC, 20-valve, liquid-cooled, 40 degree inclined, in-line four-cylinder engine. The engine has been tuned to provide outstanding performance and excellent passing performance.

The crankcases, pistons, cylinder and cylinder head are based on the 3rd generation R1 powerplant ('04 to '06).

Combustion chamber design and squish area has been optimized for maximum sports performance. The compression ratio for the FZ1 is 11.5:1. Redline is set at 12,000 rpm and features a "soft" rev limiter to protect the engine.

Special lightweight, high lift, high performance intake and exhaust cams help to provide incredible horsepower and fast engine response. Cam profiles and the cam timing are designed to provide for more low to midrange power (Vs R1) .

Automatic cam chain tensioner reduces both maintenance and engine mechanical noise.

Lightweight, 3rd generation R1 based crankshaft provides quick engine response.

Connecting rods are carburized for strength and durability and use a nutless design. The lower end "cap" of the rod is made from the same piece of material as the upper portion, this design is known as "fracture splitting". This design aids establishing true big end roundness and greater precision in con rod dimensions for great durability.

Closed deck cylinder design allows the cylinders to be spaced more closely together, allowing a narrower engine. The cylinder block is a stand-alone part. The benefit if this design is improved sealing, and easier serviceability.

Ceramic composite plated cylinder "bores" are a "liner less" design with the ceramic coating sprayed directly on the aluminum block to ensure great heat dissipation for consistent power delivery, reduced friction and reduced weight.

Short skirt, lightweight forged pistons reduce mechanical vibration and improve throttle response.

3rd generation R1 inspired "stacked" 3-axis gearbox / clutch design stacks input/output shafts to create a low center of gravity and keeps overall engine size shorter front to back. As a result, the stacked design gives the engineers the freedom to place the engine in the frame for optimum front to rear weight balance and thereby maximizing handling

Smooth shifting 6-speed transmission features optimized gear ratios for maximum performance in the "real world". 5th and 6th ratios are wider (taller) for reduced engine rpms at highway speeds for more relaxed cruising.

Compact, heavy duty, multi-plate clutch ensures consistent, positive engagement and uses coil springs (5) and paper based fiber plates (9) to reduce weight.

Mikuni fuel injection system is based on the 2006 R1 design, featuring 45mm throttle bodies fitted with T.P.S. (Throttle Position Sensor). This style of fuel injection uses dual throttle valves. The secondary or sub throttle valves are motor driven and control the intake air volume for optimum throttle response.

The actual injectors are Denso "long nose" type injectors with a high dynamic range and 4-spray holes for excellent power and response across the entire rev range.

Specially designed 8.2-liter air box with intake air temperature sensor maximizes performance. A viscous paper-type air filter is utilized.

The fuel injection's lightweight Electronic Control Unit (ECU) utilizes a powerful 32-bit processor for faster control of the injection process. The compact design also reduces weight.

Yamaha's patented Exhaust Ultimate Power Valve (EXUP) monitors engine rpm and adjusts exhaust flow for maximum performance at all rpms with no flat spots. This system also optimizes fuel economy and reduces emissions.

4 into 2 into 1 exhaust system features stainless steel exhaust pipes and a short design silencer / muffler. The header pipe length has been optimized for maximum power delivery. This system is fitted with two 3-way honeycomb catalyziers with an oxygen sensor to reduce harmful CO and HC exhaust emissions.

High-efficiency curved radiator features compact dual ring-type fans for maximum cooling efficiency. This rad and fan design produces more airflow than conventional flat design rads to maintain optimum engine temperatures for consistent power output. The curved design also allows a shorter wheelbase.

Large, liquid-cooled oil cooler maintains stable lubricant temperatures for extended engine life. Convenient spin-off oil filter is used.

Convenient clutch cover sightglass ensures easy oil level inspection.

Maintenance-free transistor-controlled ignition ensures great performance at all rpms.

Air Induction System (AIS … not ram air) reduces harmful HC and CO exhaust emissions for a cleaner environment.

CHASSIS/SUSPENSION
Die cast lightweight aluminum twin spar frame provides an optimized rigidity balance for incredible sports handling. The engine is a stressed member of the chassis, allowing a lighter main frame design without sacrificing stability and light, agile handling qualities.

The riding position which is one of the most important features of the FZ1, it offers a balance between a sporty riding position and great rider comfort.

Key chassis geometry figures include: 51% front and 49 % rear weight balance, 25 degrees of rake and 109 mm of trail. The 47 degree lean angle highlights the FZ1 sporty side.

Lightweight, detachable rear sub frame allows easy access to rear suspension components and reduces costs in the event of a "loop-out".

C.F. (Controlled Filling) die cast truss-type rear swingarm offers great rear wheel control and traction for razor-sharp cornering and superb stability at speed. The long 629mm arm helps to minimize the effect of "chain tensioning" on the bike's handling.

43mm Kayaba inverted cartridge style fork is fully adjustable and offers 130mm (5.1") of wheel travel. This fork features independent damping adjustments for compression and rebound via a one way port that separates the two functions. Adjustments include: 9-way spring preload, 26-way compression damping and 26-way rebound damping. The adjustable design allows the rider to tailor suspension settings to match rider weight and road /track conditions to maximize handling and suspension performance.

Lightweight aluminum upper triple clamp features a 25mm offset for sportier handling.

Link-type Monocross rear suspension features an adjustable Kayaba shock that allows the rider to tailor suspension settings to match load and road conditions. Adjustments include 7 - way spring preload, and 12-way rebound damping. Rear wheel travel is 130mm or 5.1"

320mm dual front discs are squeezed by ultra rigid R6 inspired monoblock, 4-piston calipers which provide outstanding stopping power and lever feedback. The master cylinder utilizes 16mm piston for outstanding stopping power with less lever effort.

245mm rear disc is squeezed by a lightweight single piston slide-type Nissin caliper with sintered metal brake pads.

Lightweight cast-aluminum 5-spoke wheels reduce unsprung weight for great handling characteristics. The front wheel is an MT3.50-17 and is fitted with competition-spec 120/70-ZR17 tire, while the rear wheel is a MT6.00-17 fitted with a wide 190/50-ZR17 rear radial.

Eye catching, half fairing offers surprisingly good wind and weather protection. It features R1 inspired dual "cat eye" halogen headlights.

Conventional handlebar design features a more upright positioning for maximum everyday comfort. Handlebar is mounted above the top triple clamp.

18-liter fuel tank offers a slim design with great knee grip. The reserve portion of the tank is 3.4 litres.

Separate rider and passenger seats offers exceptional solo or two-up comfort.

One-piece instrumentation features analog tachometer, digital speedometer, dual tripmeters, fuel gauge, clock and new outside air temperature display. The back lighting on the instrument can be adjusted to suit the rider's preference.

The 2011 Yamaha R1 represents a paradigm shift in technology, performance and controllability among litre class sport bikes. Inspired by Yamaha's M1 MotoGP race bike, this latest generation R1 features a crossplane crankshaft design with an uneven firing order to provide outstanding yet easy to control torque and an exceptionally linear throttle feel never experience before. But there is far more to the 2011 Yamaha R1 than just a revolutionary engine.

A mid-size V-twin cruiser with all the goods that won’t break the bank.
The 2011 Yamaha V-Star 950 offers middleweight performance in user friendly, confidence inspiring package that will appeal to entry level riders right through to seasoned veterans. The 2011 V-Star 950 offers an exciting combination of excellent engine performance and character with plenty of power for longer highway adventures combined with the styling and all the cruiser amenities that demanding customers have come to expect.

Long and low. The way to go.
The 2011 Yamaha V Star 950 features the longest wheelbase in its class for that stretched look and incredible straight-line cruisability, along with an ultra low seat height of just 26.5 inches. A fuel injected, air-cooled V-twin working eight valves via roller rockers provides plenty of thumping torque and power for real open road cruising. A fat tire out back and a final belt drive get the power to the ground and look good doing it.

Looking for a new generation cruiser that is fun to ride and easy to operate?
A cruiser that features a full size chassis, high quality fit and finish plus a super low seat height. The V-Star 950 offers class leading performance and plenty of cruiser character so you can discover your free spirit in comfort, style and confidence.

2011 Yamaha V-Star 950 model Features
= Fuel Consumption * 20kpl/57mpg(Imp)
= Air-cooled, 942cc, SOHC, 4-valve, V-Twin power plant
= Long, low, agile chassis with user friendly 675mm (26.6") seat height

ENGINE
= 942cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-valves per cylinder, 60° V-twin produces outstanding low- and mid-range torque - maximum torque is reached at only 3,500 rpm - for exceptional cruising performance.
= One-piece cylinder heads feature 4-valves per cylinder to provide optimum volumetric or filling efficiency for maximum power output. More fuel / air mixture entering the combustion chamber means increased power output. Two smaller intake valves allow more air flow than a single large valve. Two smaller valves (lighter) also allow for higher rpms before valve float.
= Pent roof type combustion with optimized squish area forces the fuel / air mixture toward the centre of the combustion chamber (and the centrally located long reach spark plug) for faster, more complete combustion and hence improved power and reduced emissions.
= Cylinder heads feature buff polished fins for a quality appearance, while the cylinder head covers are chromed.
= The SOHC valve train features 31.5mm intake and 28mm exhaust valves with single valve springs which reduce friction and power losses. Specially designed "Y" shaped rocker arms activate the valves. The roller rocker system utilizes needle bearings that "roll" directly on the cam lobes allowing the lift of 2 valves at the same time without producing excessive camshaft wear and friction.
= Auto adjusting cam chain tensioners are used to reduce mechanical engine noise and maintenance
= Lightweight aluminium cylinders feature ceramic composite plating for superior heat dissipation for excellent cooling, less friction, reduced weight and longer engine life.
= Single pin style crankshaft is used to enhance engine character and exhaust note.
= Flat top, lightweight forged aluminium pistons provide excellent durability while reducing reciprocating mass for fast throttle response.
= Wet sump oil delivery system features an easy access spin-on type oil filter. A traditional dipstick is used to check oil level.
= Classic side mounted, large capacity, 3 litre air box houses an easy access, high-flow viscous paper-type filter. Its design highlights and compliments the V-twin engine appearance. The outer cover is chromed.
= Dual bore, 35mm throttle body fuel injection system with TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and ISC (Idle Speed Control). This is a "closed loop" system that utilizes a heated oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor feeds back info to the ECU which in turn adjusts the fuel/air mixture for maximum power with minimum emissions. The oxygen sensor is located before the mufflers, so the use of aftermarket slip-on mufflers will not affect this system.
= 4-hole, 2-directional spray, Denso fuel injectors are used for excellent fuel atomization and more complete combustion chamber filling. There is one injector per cylinder.
= Fuel injection benefits include improved fuel economy; choke-less operation, reduced emissions, and smoother drivability. The XVS950 has been tuned to provide a very "linear" throttle response for easy riding.
= Powerful 32 bit ECU controls the ignition and fuel injection process
= Stylish 2 into 1 exhaust system features a 3-way honeycomb-type catalyser at the entry point to the muffler. The catalyser reduces harmful exhaust emissions, while the "dual stage type" muffler produces a low, throaty V-Twin exhaust note.
= Multi-plate "outer pull type'" wet clutch is used. Lever pull is light and easy.
= 5-speed transmission features optimized gear ratios for excellent city and highway drivability. Transmission gears use "straight cut dogs" for smooth, positive shifting. 5th gear delivers outstanding cruising performance and reduced rpms at highway speed
= Transistorized coil ignition (T.C.I.) provides a hot spark for sure starts and is maintenance-free.
= Clean, quiet belt drive system is extremely low maintenance and simplifies customization. The belt is similar to the XVS1300 and features "Aramid" cords for excellent strength and reduced stretching.
= Air Induction System (A.I.S.) reduces harmful CO and HC exhaust emissions.
= One piece classic heel-and-toe shifter adds versatility and enhances the overall cruising experience.
= Numerous chromed engine parts reinforce this motorcycle's quality image.

CHASSIS/SUSPENSION
= Double cradle steel frame offers roomy ergonomics, great handling and a low seat height. This frame utilizes a 4-point rigid engine mounting system to optimize the overall rigidity balance for superior handling. The engine is a stressed member of the frame. Rake is 32 degrees. The engine is mounted low in the chassis to provide a low center of gravity for a light, easy handling feel.
= "Box section" steel swingarm compliments the frame.
= The V-Star 950 features one of the lowest seat heights in its class (675mm / 26.6"), making it very easy for most riders to place both feet flat on the ground, an important benefit for novice or shorter riders.
= The long (1685mm / 66") wheelbase provides very stable and precise handling at all speeds. Both of these benefits will help instil confidence in novice riders.
= "New Style Classic" body design concept is based on a single streamline running along the entire body surface. This stylish design highlights a new low, lean, and lighter image than conventional old style cruisers. The long, low design means spacious ergonomics with lots of leg room, which maximizes both rider and passenger comfort.
= Beefy 41mm front fork features stylish large-diameter brushed-finished fork covers. Wheel travel is 135mm (5.3") for a smooth, comfortable ride.
= Monocross style, single-shock, bottom link rear suspension centralizes mass for light, agile handling. The linkage system provides a rising rate or progressive effect that provides excellent compliance on small bumps then increases in firmness for large bumps.
= Spring preload adjustable rear shock is vertically mounted behind the engine and is tucked out of sight for that clean, classic hardtail look. Rear wheel travel is 110mm (4.3"). The 9 positions of spring preload adjustment allows the rider to tailor spring preload to suit rider weight, load and road conditions.
= Single, large 320mm front disc brake features a pin slide-type caliper with twin pistons for strong, confidence-inspiring stopping power.
= 298 mm rear disc brake is squeezed by single piston caliper mounted to the underside of the swingarm. This design not only helps to hide the caliper but also lowers the center of gravity for great handling.
= 1 inch diameter, pull back handlebars are easy to reach and enhance the riding position for excellent rider comfort. Chromed bar end weights reduce vibration for excellent rider comfort.
= 16.7 litre teardrop shaped fuel tank compliments the long, low "New Style Classic" body lines. The reserve portion of the tank is 3.7 litres.
= Separate rider and passenger seats offers excellent comfort and support for all day riding comfort. Rider seat height is only 675mm or 26.6 inches off the ground. The front portion of the rider seat is narrow to make it even easier to touch the ground. The passenger portion of the seat can easily be removed if desired.
= Front and rear fenders are made of steel for easy customization and demonstrate the quality of build.
= Full-size, "floating-type" rider floorboards are roomy and comfortably positioned while also helping reduce vibration. There is a replaceable "scraper" area on the lower edge of the board.
= Lightweight 8-spoke cast aluminium wheels are fitted wide tubeless tires. These stylish wheels feature a "split" spoke design. Front wheel is 3.50 inches wide fitted with a 130/70x 18 bias tires, while the rear is 4.5 inches wide fitted with a 170/70x 16 bias tires.
= Stylish fuel tank mounted instrument features an analog speedometer, digital odometer, dual tripmeters, low fuel tripmeter, clock and low fuel warning light. The instrument illumination can adjusted to suit the rider's preference via the RHS switch gear.
= Handlebar switch gear allows the operator to change instrument meter functions via buttons on the RHS handlebar switch, thereby eliminating the need to take your hands off the bars to "tab through" the main instrument functions.
= 60/55 watt high intensity halogen headlight emphasizes the "New Style Classic" body styling. The headlight is adjustable up and down plus left and right.
= "New Style Classic" taillight design.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
= Industry-leading Star family fit and finish features rich, lustrous paint and extensive chrome accents creating a machine as stunning as it is powerful.
= Extra wide brushed aluminium front brake and clutch levers provide a quality feel.
= High output 460 watt generator
= Electric fuel pump
= Low-maintenance, lightweight, compact, sealed battery ensures fuss-free, dependable starting.
= Steering lock is integrated into the main ignition switch for extra convenience.
= Self-cancelling turn signals
= Excessive lean angle sensor will stop the engine in the event of a tip over
= Convenient under seat helmet holder bracket
= Upper & lower belt covers help prevent debris from entering the belt and pulley areas
= Stylish clear signal lenses.
= Convenient pre-wired accessory plug for passing lamps inside the headlight shell.
